A fledgling Northern Harrier with a practically amputated left foot that was hanging on by a thread of soft tissue. The hospital has been publicly crucified for this on facebook.
A hatchling barn owl born with no eyes. Had a heart arrhythmia and who knows what other congenital abnormalities.
A scrub jay? Did I even kill a scrub jay? I think he died on his own.
I'm already forgetting as I don't write them down. I honestly don't even remember the first animal I ever euthanized. I've also forgotten how much euthanasia goes on when working with wildlife.
I'm already planning what externships I want to do 4th year. Not sure why I enjoy driving myself insane. But I'm fairly certain that this attitude is how I even got into school in the first place.
